The Technology Committee is appointed by the President of the Sheriffs' Association of Texas and is composed of Sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel. The committee engages in periodic reviews and makes recommendations relating to information technology including software and operating systems.
The committee is responsible for studying current public safety radio communication infrastructure in Texas and addressing issues affecting the ability of all public safety providers in Texas to exchange information when and where it is needed, even when disparate radio communications system are involved. The committee shall present their report at the Annual Training Conference.
