Andrews County Sheriff's Office (Deputy Positions)

The Andrews County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff (3 positions available).

Salary range is $48,506 to $56,242 depending on certification level and experience, plus overtime. In addition, certification pay of $600-$6,000 per year is offered depending on certification level.

Applicants are required to hold a current license as a Peace Officer with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and pass a rigorous background investigation.

Applicants are required to reside within the boundaries of Andrews County.

Benefits include standard health and dental insurance at a monthly cost of $50 per employee. Dependent health and dental coverage is available with monthly premiums paid by the employee. Retirement is with the Texas County and District Retirement System. Employee contributes 7% of salary. Andrews County currently contributes $2.00 for every $1.00 the employee contributes. 80 hours of vacation per year are awarded annually after the first anniversary of employment. 80 hours of sick time are awarded annually and can be accrued up to 480 hours. Longevity pay is available after the 2nd year of employment.

Andrews County provides take-home patrol vehicles with in-car computers, uniforms, body armor, cellular phones, radio, Taser, AR-15 and Shotgun. Deputy provides side-arm and duty rig.
