Bee County Sheriff's Office (Deputy Position)

The Bee County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff (1 position available).

Salary range is approximately $33,000

Applicants are required to hold a current license as a Peace Officer with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and pass a rigorous background investigation.

Applicants are required to reside within the boundaries of Bee County.

Benefits include standard health care through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. Dependent health and dental coverage is available with monthly premiums paid by the employee. Retirement is with the Texas County and District Retirement System. Employee contributes 7% of salary. Bee County currently contributes $1.75 for every $1.00 the employee contributes. 80 hours of vacation per year are awarded annually after the first anniversary of employment. 80 hours of sick time are awarded annually and can be accrued up to 480 hours. Longevity pay is available after the 2nd year of employment.

Bee County provides take-home patrol vehicles with in-car computers, body armor, cellular phones, radio, AR-15 and Shotgun. Deputy provides uniform, side-arm and duty rig. A monthly uniform allowance of $90 is paid to the Deputy.
