Knox County Sheriff's Office (Patrol Deputy Position)

The Knox County Sheriff's Office is accepting application for the position of Patrol Deputy.

The duties of the Patrol Deputy included but are not limited to the following:

  • Patrol the entire county of Knox
  • Issue traffic citations as necessary
  • Serve civil process as assigned by the Sheriff or Chief Deputy
  • Act as Court Bailiff as assigned or when available
  • Transport inmates to and from the Knox County Jail as assigned
  • Complete Crash reports as necessary
  • Begin initial investigation of offenses
  • Complete all necessary documentation of offenses, crashes, traffic citations, or other documentation paperwork as required in a timely manner
  • Read and follow policy manuals for Knox County and the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

Requirements include

  • Texas Peace Officer license as issued by TCOLE
  • Able to work alone at times
  • Jailer license a plus but not necessary
  • Experience a plus but not necessary
