Borden County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the
position of Full-time Deputy Sheriff.
The Borden County Sheriff’s Office is currently taking applications for a Full-time Deputy Sheriff. This will be an additional position added as of January 1, 2019.
Requirements: 21 years of age or older, high school diploma or GED, TCOLE Certification or be in the process of obtaining TCOLE Certification, valid TX License, must reside in Borden County once hired, must pass background investigation. Will be required to pass drug screening.

Duties: Duties of the deputy will include, but are not limited to, patrolling the county, serving civil process, traffic enforcement along one US Highway and multiple farm to market and county roads, felony and misdemeanor criminal investigations and responding to complaints and concerns from the community. The deputy will also assist with public function in the county and educational programs at the local school. The deputy will be required to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays and nights, and be on call several days a week.
