Gray County Sheriff's Office (Deputy Position)

The Gray County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting resumes for deputy position.

Gray County is in the east central panhandle northeast of Amarillo. Pampa, (pop. 18000) is the county seat. County population is 22500, and 929 square miles of rural ranch and farm. Interstate 40 runs east and west through the county. Pampa is approximately 1 hour northeast of Amarillo.

Starting pay is $40,091.00 plus certificate allowance, health insurance, life insurance, take home vehicle, etc.

Those interested must be TCOLE certified, professional, stable work history, willing to work any shift. Must be able to be gone on over-night transports and willing to be called in on days off due to emergencies or significant events.

Consideration will be given to those individuals with five years or more in deputy position, intermediate certificate/training hours, civil process, investigations, Spanish language, self-initiated and driven.
