Llano County Sheriff's Office (Crisis Intervention Deputy Position)

Group/Step and Salary: $38,500/yr


Works with persons in crisis intervention situations, as well as those in the medical, psychological and other social services professions, as needed, to support the operations of the Llano County Sheriff’s Office.


Reports to: Llano County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Captain
Other: Has frequent contact with other county employees, other law enforcement agencies, judges, attorneys, criminals, persons in the medical and behavioral sciences fields, as well as the general public


  • Must hold a Basic Peace Officer license from TCOLE
  • Two years patrol experience is preferred and able to be licensed as a TCOLE Mental Health Officer
  • Pass a background check 

Skill/Ability to: 

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other law enforcement agencies, judicial officials, and the general public
  • Analyze situations and adopt a quick, effective, and reasonable course of action
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication
  • Prepare written and computerized reports using standard word processing and data inquiry software
  • Must be able to work day or night hour shifts with varying days off


  • Basic Peace Officer license from TCOLE
  • Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license
  • A TCOLE Mental Health Officer certification is preferred
