Eastland County Sheriff's Office (Patrol Deputy Position)

The Eastland county Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Patrol Deputy.

Starting salary $19.22 per hour with Comp Time earned. No overtime
Full benefits package including Blue Cross medical coverage
Retirement through Texas County and District Retirement System
Uniforms except footwear provided
Sidearm, shotgun and rifle provided
Take home patrol unit

Patrol county and assist citizens in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
Respond to calls for service as directed and traffic enforcement .
Complete offense and incident reports as well as investigate criminal activity and testify in court as needed.
Execute warrants and on view arrests, serve civil process and conduct civil standbys.
Respond to animal control calls.
Investigate and protect crime scenes, obtain latent prints, take photographs, record evidence and chain of custody.
Perform other duties as directed by the Sheriff or Chief Deputy.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years experience as a peace officer
Possess a valid Texas Drivers License.
Basic Peace officer license in good standing with TCOLE.
Pass County required physical and drug test.
Bilingual a plus but not required.
